Harajuku Princess

This month's featured style is Rebekah Banks, a well known MUA and hair stylist in Auckland, New Zealand, but also known internationally. Not only is Rebekah gorgeous but also amazingly talented, she is a makeup artist as well as a traditional artist and is pretty much an all-round creative. We had an absolute blast shooting this, we were blessed with amazing weather too. These images are taken at Cornwall Park, and it is hard to believe that Rebekah has not modelled professionally! We wanted to create an ethereal twist on the "Harajuku Princess" - an evening look with an edge. Rebekah and I worked together on the styling to get the final outfit looking just right! She even hand made out of paper the blue flower she wears in her hair in the photos below.

The Blue Overalls

This was the last shoot for summer, and although I am sad that we are going into the dark cold days of winter, there will also be some beautiful light to work with as the days get cooler. I had to take advantage of the amazing long grass on this random patch of farmland near my house, at sunset the light it just amazing! These overalls are from Volcom, one of my favourite surf brands. I love this outfit for a party or an afternoon at the beach. This time I decided to keep it casual and just wear my chucks. Who can deny that chucks are pretty much timeless?
