Brocade

I adore lace, and especially on sheer garments. Taking a darker turn this week, the black gown makes the perfect evening dress. I gave it a classic feel with embellished accessories and red lips. The parasole I have been saving for a dress such as this one, and I found a building with just the right architecture to compliment the look. The parasol is actually sold in white, beige and black at MOTAT and is the best summer accessory. Right on the corner of Shortland Street in Auckland CBD. If you are wanting a little inspiration for the perfect evening look, then look no further

The Secret Garden

Keeping too many clothes in your closet is a serious struggle. On one hand, you want the options but on the other, you just can't fit everything! I am so glad my mum kept her dress she had custom made for her, because it makes the perfect outfit for a walk in the garden. The cotton of this dress is super comfy for summer too. I had the perfect jewels to match and accessorised it with a big floppy white hat that I bought from a $2 store, with ribbons I attached. Gotta slip, slop, slap! My shoes are probably the most exciting part of this outfit. I have an obsession for rainbow coloured objects. Plus they are super comfy! I made a cute little mood board to finish, complete with stationary and accessories

Summer Pinup

To find the perfect summer pinup location I scouted a grand total of three different white buildings in Auckland to find this one. The pinup look is right on trend at the moment and I couldn't resist doing a cute outfit! The head piece is a DIY headband I made out of tying thick chiffon into a bow, easy! I am not the best with hair and makeup so I like to create looks that I can do (so literally anyone can do). Ain't nobody got time for fiddling with their face for ten hours. Just make sure the chiffon you use is thick and stiff! Not the floaty stuff. I found a larger piece of chiffon to play around with and add a little drama, creating a little bit of art with heart
